Brodie Frehlich Engagement Photography | Rose & Ian | Parksville & Cathedral Grove

I met with Rose and Ian on a cool, sunny day in January just after noon. The sun rose as high as winter would allow but hung low in the sky. Rose and Ian bought me a coffee and spoke of how they lived for some time in the area and used to bring their dog Marshall to the beach. All three of them seemed happy to be back. After a quick shoot on the beach we drove to another familiar place, Cathedral Grove. Rose & Ian took a walk through the forest and visited the old, hollowed out tree that has stood strong since they began visiting it years ago and for many years before that. Patches of snow broke up the mossy green floor of the forest and the sun cut through from the canopy above for just long enough. It was a fine day with good folks and I very much look forward to Rose & Ian’s wedding this fall.
